Janus Worldwide Presents Its Global Technology Platform at eCommerce Expo 2016

Janus Worldwide recently took part in eCommerce Expo 2016, which occurred from September 28-29 in London at the Olympia Exhibition Centre, one of the oldest exhibition halls in Great Britain, and there presented its Global Technology Platform (GTP) to the world.

eCommerce Expo is Europe’s largest e-commerce expo and is an excellent marketing and communications platform that provides participants with the opportunity to make announcements and business contacts. eCommerce Expo visitors are the first to learn about many new products, services and technologies. The event encompasses literally every aspect of the online transaction process, from marketing, web-platforms and effecting payments to delivery systems and customer service. All five platform solutions offered by Janus are dedicated to making the translation and localisation process as simple as possible. The Global Technology Platform combines the following technologies: Janus TermCheck, Janus Perfect, Janus Connect, Janus DashPort and Janus Express.

Janus TermCheck is a useful terminology management tool that helps companies to maintain a consistent public message across internal departments, divisions and representative offices. Independent market research firm Common Sense Advisory has once again published its Language Services Market Report: 2016, which states that Janus Worldwide is one of the leading language service providers in Western Europe.

728 language service providers were evaluated as part of the research. Janus Worldwide now occupies 45th place on its Top 100 Language Service Providers: 2016 ratings and 10th place in its Top Language Service Providers in Western Europe in 2016 ratings.

The fact that Janus Worldwide placed so high is no accident: the company continues to implement its global development strategy and take those steps required to secure its status as a top language service provider. Janus Participates in Localization World 2016 International Conference

Janus participated in the 31st Localization World International Conference held in Dublin from June 8-10, 2016.

Localization World is a key event for language industry representatives and international companies. It takes place several times a year at various locations in different countries. As part of the conference, participants may exchange information, knowledge and experience regarding translation, localization and other aspects of the language services industry.

In 2016, the theme of Localization World 2016 was “Engaging Global Customers.” The venue for the 31st conference was the Convention Centre, a popular location for business events in Dublin.

The conference held presentations on the following subjects:

As part of the Language Service Providers presentations, Dmitry gave a successful speech on “Key Aspects of Successful Operations for LSPs.”

During his presentation, Dmitry discussed the importance of a high-quality management system, which is vital to any company focused on customer service, of adopting a procedural approach that, in turn, integrates various departments/business units and spheres of company operations and ensures that they operate systematically, smoothly, productively, and, as well, of capabilities derived from automating various processes performed with a variety of applications on a daily basis.

Moreover, Dmitry shared his vision of the translation company of the future. He emphasized it would possess:

  • integrated data exchange between systems and applications;
  • assignment automatisation (an individual would only perform those assignments requiring complex, non-trivial solutions);
  • more productive utilisation of MT;
  • management by exception (no exceptions being a completely automated process).

Dmitry's presentation was very informative, interesting and thought-provoking, and the solutions he suggested and advice he provided, based on his own experience and reflections, certainly resonated with attending industry colleagues.
